27/54 T.O. PROCESS | Uber Landmarks

uber landmarks prototype 27

NOTATION: The idea is that Uber “encourages” and “helps” Uber riders to be curious and explore as they are on the go. With Uber Landmarks: Say Goodbye to Travel FOMO Forever, you will always receive an alert when a landmark is near you. Uber collaborates with Google Maps Nearby Places and Atlas Obscura so that you never miss a thing.  I created an imaginary service and mock ad poster.

26/54 T.O. PROCESS | Uber Animal Care X + XL

uber animal care prototype

NOTATION: The idea is that Uber “helps” pet owners “care” for their small and large animals by “providing” a new service called Uber Animal Care X + XL. Uber transports pets to veterinary offices for routine visits and emergency trips. In particular the service helps people without cars and/or people who are unable to drive themselves. I created a mock logo, a mood board, and an imaginary service concept.

25/54 T.O. PROCESS | Uber + Digital Nomads

digital nomad prototype

NOTATION: The idea is that Uber “provides” the freedom to travel and explore the world, freedom from owning a car, and the freedom to be a digital nomad. I created a  mood board and a mock ad poster design.

24/54 MASHUP | Uber: Don’t Panic

NOTATION: The idea is that Uber “helps” and “reminds” people to not panic when they realize they’re late; instead just take an Uber. I created the idea Uber: Don’t Panic and a gif to convey the message.

23/54 MASHUP | Uber Everything

uber everything collage

NOTATION: The idea is to “help” convey and “share” that Uber does a little bit of everything by mashing up all of their varied services into one ad poster.  I collaged together images representing Uber and designed a poster.

21/54 MASHUP | Uber: In A Flash

roman the uber driver in nyc

(HOVER OVER THE SETTINGS ICON TO TOGGLE VIDEO QUALITY TO HD)

NOTATION: The idea is to make a video mashup about Uber “teaching” you to be careful what you wish for and being “honest” about some types of Uber drivers you will find out there for a bit of a laugh. I created a header image, video, and a prototype concept.

PROTOTYPE CONCEPT: This video mashup was inspired by an Uber ride I had in NYC. Dude was named Roman – he looked and dressed like a young, darker featured Daniel Craig from the current Bond films and he showed up in a glossy black ZL1 Camaro. If you wanted to have an Uber driver that made you feel like you had a hott chauffeur that only cared about fast cars, working out, and street racing that drove you around in a new sports car, Roman would be your guy.

20/54 MASHUP | Uber: Commute Easy

uber commute easy

(HOVER OVER THE SETTINGS ICON TO TOGGLE VIDEO QUALITY TO HD)

NOTATION: The idea is to create a video mashup contrasting the opening scene of the movie Office Space with the experience of taking an Uber to work. Uber: Commute Easy is a mock ad “informing” and “encouraging” commuters to skip the stress of driving to work and instead summon an Uber.  I created a short video prototype and prototype concept.

PROTOTYPE CONCEPT: For most of us out there, work can be stressful. And even though we technically punch in and out as we come and go from work, the work day really starts when you wake up in the morning, get ready, and drive to work. Instead of sitting through teeth-grinding, heart palpitating traffic each day, simply summon an Uber and commute easy.

19/54 COLLABORATE | Uber + Trader Joe’s: Eating Well Made Easy

uber eats trader joe

NOTATION: The idea is for Uber Eats to collaborate with Trader Joe’s by providing an affordable and healthy grocery delivery service. While anyone can use this service, it offers special discounts to veterans and people living with disabilities. Uber “cares” about the well being of your community and “provides a valuable service” that leaves no one behind. I created the imaginary service Uber Joe’s: Eating Well Made Easy, a mock logo, and a written concept.

CONCEPT:  There are multiple reasons why having an accessible, easy to use, and affordable grocery delivery service can be of enormous value to have in any community. Whether you’re stuck at home with the flu, your car broke down, or you just don’t want to wrangle your kids into the car for a grocery shopping trip, Uber Joe’s grocery delivery is there for you. With monthly and annual subscriptions available, not only can you receive a discount for being a subscriber, but we also have special pricing for veterans and those living with disabilities. Because eating well should not only be affordable, it should be easy.

18/54 COLLABORATE | Uber//Salvation: Winter Is Coming

NOTATION: The idea is for Uber to collaborate with the Salvation Army every fall. Uber drivers in participating areas are provided with donation boxes to store in their trunks in order to collect donated winter clothes from Uber passengers. Uber is “helping“, encouraging“, and “fostering” a community effort to help those in need by providing the service and collaborating with Salvation Army. I created the imaginary service concept Uber//Salvation: Winter is Coming, a gif prototype, and a written concept.

PROTOTYPE CONCEPT | Uber//Salvation: Winter Is Coming is an annual Fall collaboration to collect and provide winter clothes for those in need within participating communities. Uber donates to the cause by providing paid incentives to drivers, encouraging them to participate in the program. They all offer points-based rewards to Uber passengers for donating. Uber promotes, collects, and delivers the donations to Salvation Army, who distributes the donated items for free to registered soup kitchens, homeless shelters, churches, and charity organizations that pass out the clothing items. Uber also hosts pop-up-shop events in different neighborhoods where people can come “shop” for what they need.
